NASHVILLE - Returning to Joe's Pub for the fifth year, the CMA Songwriters Series remains as one of New York City's most popular nights of music. Showcasing some of Nashville's finest songwriters, the series is back for another show on Thursday, May 21 (6:30 and 9:30 PM/ET).
Hosted by Bob DiPiero ("If You Ever Stop Loving Me" recorded by Montgomery Gentry, "Blue Clear Sky" recorded by George Strait, "Worlds Apart" recorded by Vince Gill, and "Take Me As I Am" recorded by Faith Hill), other participating songwriters include Dean Dillon ("The Chair," "Unwound," "Ocean Front Property," and "Marina Del Rey" recorded by George Strait; "A Lot of Things Different" recorded by Kenny Chesney; and "Twenty Years and Two Husbands Ago" recorded by Lee Ann Womack); Scotty Emerick ("I Love This Bar," and "Good As I Once Was" recorded by Toby Keith and "Beer For My Horses" recorded by Toby Keith and Willie Nelson); and Valory Music co. recording artist Jimmy Wayne ("Stay Gone," "I Love You This Much," and "Paper Angels," all recorded by Wayne), who recently had a three week No. 1 single with "Do You Believe Me Now" and will be joining Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley on the "American Saturday Night Tour" this summer.
